Cadet Forces Military Competition with the Light Calvary
Cadet Forces Military Competition with the Light Calvary
A few weeks ago, Bella (Year 8) proudly represented The Marist CCF at the Cadet Forces Military Competition with the Light Calvary at Flemish Farm in Windsor.
As the youngest of the 20 competitors, Bella faced an impressive challenge: riding Jimmy, a cavalry horse standing at 16.3 hands, the tallest horse she has ever ridden and the tallest horse at the competition. Mounted on a military saddle and required to remain at Attention, Bella completed a ten-minute ridden session while responding to military commands one-handed.
Her performance was outstanding, and it was a joy to watch her rise to the occasion with such confidence and composure. Bella has made Marist history as the first Marist Cadet ever to compete in this event, an inspiring milestone as we begin to broaden the range of opportunities available to our Cadets in the near future.
