We are delighted to announce that we have won the GSA Photography Competition in both age categories! Aurelia won in the Years 7–9 category, and Tilda won in the Years 10–13 category. The results were announced at the GSA Head’s Conference last week. Well done to both of our students on this fantastic achievement! Both students wrote statements to go alongside their photos which can be read below.

A bright and brave future is something we all aspire to, especially young girls. This is a photo of my mum who’s lighting the way to guarantee me one. Taken at the Tate Modern, I capture her mesmerising silhouette and powerful aura as she moves through a sculpture of light.

Tilda (Right Image) ‘Generations of Strength’

A Bright and Brave future begins with those who light the way. My mother and grandmother – two generations of women who’ve dedicated their lives to teaching – have shaped my world.
