Higher Education Evening

The Higher Education evening on Wednesday, October 16th, was a resounding success.

The event featured three engaging presentations. First, our Year 12 students received insights into the UCAS application process from Aimee, the Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer at Royal Holloway University. Aimee provided expert guidance selecting the right university, student finance and how the application process works.
Next, Caitlin from InvestIN Education shared valuable advice on what employers seek in job applications and how to make yours stand out from the crowd. Our Sixth Formers were excited by the diverse career paths and opportunities presented to them, in addition to considering what skills they can be developing over the next year.
The evening concluded with an inspiring talk by James Darley, CEO of Transform Society. James discussed the various graduate schemes available and offered practical tips for entering the job market. He emphasized the increasing importance of AI in the application process and encouraged students to approach the future job market with an open mindset. To conclude, James engaged students and parents with interactive online games designed to assess their spatial awareness and numerical skills, which caused a great buzz and was a fantastic way to round off the event.

Thank you to all our speakers for a fantastic evening.
