The Marist School and Concept Education

The Marist School began a new chapter in its 153-year history as it entered into a partnership with Concept Education in April 2022.

With a changing demographic and fewer vocations joining the Order, the Marist Sisters, who founded the school, felt compelled to seek a new owner to safeguard the future for current pupils and generations to come. Having been rated ‘excellent’ across all areas by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), The Marist became the flagship school for Concept Education, a new schools’ group set up by leading figures from the world of education with a wealth of experience and expertise.

Little has changed in the school’s day to day running; it remains a Catholic all-girls’ school under our Principal, Mrs Jo Smith, supported by a strong Senior Leadership Team and talented body of staff who continue to champion The Marist’s unique ethos and identity.

The Marist School community is indebted to the Sisters of the Marist Order for everything they have given to the school over its long history. Since relocating to Ascot in 1947, The Marist has been providing an excellent all-round education for girls from the surrounding area. With this exciting new partnership the school looks forward to a strong and sustainable future for its wonderful community of parents, pupils and staff.
