Outdoor Learning

Fresh air, the calmness of nature, and beautiful surroundings all contribute to us being able to deliver a highly engaging and stimulating curriculum, centred on learning outdoors.

In this day and age, mental wellbeing is paramount and our approach is reinforced by academic research, which demonstrates the positive impact learning outdoors can have on children’s health and wellbeing.

All classes enjoy regular Forest School sessions, where learning is interwoven into cross-curricular themes. Key attitudes to learning such as resilience, problem solving, teamwork, and empathy are highly valued and promoted through numerous practical experiences. These skills are particularly important for young people as they grow up in a world that requires courage, flexibility and confidence.
